Bailey Hall itself is 700 years old! It is a listed building and steeped in history. Some of the windows were blocked out to avoid paying daylight tax in the 1700's.
There are plenty of good walks from the doorstep, including walks to the Village of Hurst Green home to the famous Stonyhurst College. Near to Hurst Green is Cromwells Bridge, where Oliver Cromwell crossed. Other local places of interest include the village of Ribchester which still has the remains of a Roman Bathhouse, a Roman museum and historic church.
